Sumika Chemical Analysis Service (SCAS) provides (M)SDS authoring services, which meet the requirements of Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals and local regulations for each country. The following services, related to the CCN Asia news on this issue, have been also provided.

  • Updating and authoring for revised Industrial Safety and Health Act in Japan
  • Authoring GHS-complied SDS according to Australian WHS Regulations
  • Updating and authoring for Korean "Ministry of Employment & Labor announcement No.2012-14"

In addition, SCAS provides MSDS authoring and a label design for each country, and arranges studies or tests, e.g., physicochemical properties and environmental toxicity studies, which are in accordance with the UN recommendations of GHS. Products on the market in the EU are required to be classified according to the CLP regulation and SDSs need to be made available in accordance to the REACH regulation. Especially, national rules and local languages are important. SCAS also provides the total services for the SDS preparation and management including immediate up-date of the document according to the revision of the EU and local regulation.
